Welcome to the November Islands View newsletter. Last month we had some great events, with “Movies in the Park” and “Halloween in the Village” generating big crowds. This month, the Davis Islands Civic Association is hosting their annual fall celebration and meeting. Additionally, new safety measure were installed at one of our main crosswalks. Davis Islands Civic Association – Annual Meeting
The Davis Islands Civic Association is hosting their annual meeting on November 17th, 6:30pm at the Davis Islands Garden Club. The guest speaker will be Tampa Bay Lightning CEO Steve Griggs.
New Crosswalk Lights
The City of Tampa recently installed “blinking” crosswalk lights on Davis Blvd as you enter and exit the Islands. Pedestrians can press the walk button before crossing and in turn three different sets of lights in the crosswalk will blink.
NEXTDOOR.COM – Davis Islands
Each month the Nextdoor.com/Davis Islands site is growing by at least 50 new users. We are only 9 away from 250 and the response to the site has been great.
